Default jeep grand cherokee years

ok so im buying a new to me 93 jeep grand cherokee ZJ V8 tomorrow, i currently have an xj so i understand how certain models change the body style from certain years like all jeeps. like with the wrangler having the cj,yj,tj and now jk. and the xj having changed body style from 96 to 97 thus certain parts only work with each model. now i know the grand cherokee runs on zj, and wj and i beleive they have a few more letter names for certain years but im not positive. my question is what years for the grand cherokees are the same body style? thanks!!

I believe 93-95 were the same, then there were small changes from 96-98, most 99 were the new style.

93-95. 96-98 . I believe and yes the bolt patter is the same 5x4.5. The 96 till 98 only have small changes mostly cosmetic so you can use 99% of their parts

93-95 ZJ, 96-98 ZJ (some have dubbed it "ZJ 2") all cosmetic changes, mechanically the same as 93-95, 5x4.5 bolt pattern is the same on all ZJs. 99-04 WJ, used a 5x5 bolt pattern for the wheels. as far as i know, no parts interchange from WJ to ZJ and vice versa. 05-10 is WK, went back to the 5x4.5 bolt pattern, and late 10-present is WK2

You can put wj control arms on a zj. They are a beefier and boxed instead of stamped metal

Stock WJ arms can go on a ZJ, but you have to do some grinding.

They're fully boxed as compared to c-channel - decently stronger.
