Default Jeep grand cherokee will not start

I was trying to repair a poor cd changer installation and I blew a fuse and checked that the rest were fine but then I found out that the vehicle will crank but will not run. The sentry key light comes on then off then stays on. After a couple of attempts to start the engine the engine light also comes on. I plugged in the Actron autoscanner and it reads that it is unable to communicate with the vehicle.
Please if anybody has any idea why this is occuring please let me know.

Do you have a stereo system?

The vehicle is a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and it does have a stereo system which the radio works fine with the accessory on after replacing the fuse to the radio.

I meant aftermarket system, sorry about that.

Does your cigaret lighter work

You might have shorted sensor somewhere.
Your going to need a voltmeter.

The system is the original sound system, I have a voltmeter, and the cigarette lighter works but I used that to fill in the burnt fuse, there is no fuse in it now.

Put a extra fuse back in there and you should be able to scan it.

If putting the fuse in does not work you may have cooked your computer.

I replaced the fuse and double checked them all with my voltmeter, all good. I checked for voltage at the Crankshaft position sensor and there is zero volts. I ohms checked the wires from that sensor and the cam sensor all back to the ECM and that checked good. Is there any way for me to verify the ECM is good?

How did you check the cps
If you check it between b and c terminal there sould be no resistance or open

Do you have a factory security system?
Did the scanner work when you replaced the fuse?

The scanner still read that it could not communicate so I checked the Crank sensor for voltage at the org. and blk/blu wires and got zero volts. There is a factory security system installed

Are you fuel and votage guages working properly

A bad cps can also cause the obd reader not to make connection with the computer

The ammeter and the gas gauge is not coming on but I thought they came on after the engine started? I'm not sure. I read in my repair manual to check voltage from in between the CPS plug and the ECM and I'm getting no voltage, so I figured if I replaced CPS I would still be in the same situation. If the ECM was bad would the scanner tell me?

Just replaced the CPS, still no start, sentry light still on and no read out from scanner. I have continuity from the ECU to CrankPS, CamPS, and throttle sensor, but no voltage at any with key on.

I just put something in the other thread.

I thought it might be something with the security system before when I asked you if you had a security system. I just thought we should rule that out first.
