Hello I have the 93 jeep grand with the 318ci and recently it has died on me twice as I'm backing up and then I put it in drive! It's only done it twice but it did it one day after another and I also have issues getting it started sometimes it'll crank but won't start until the next day, im not sure if these issues are related or not I haven't really tried any test because I'm not a mechanic and unsure of where I should start, somebody help!!!

my jeep has been doing that for a couple of years. Seems that something is draining the battery after it sits overnight, although have had the same thing happen a few times. Leave a store parking lot and as I'm backing out.....suddenly it dies.....and the battery is DEAD!!!!! Only having it "jumped" off and having to keep my foot on the gas even when I apply the brake will keep it running. So glad to hear from someboy that seems to be having this same problem. The alternator shows to be good. Would be truly appreciative for any feedback from others who seem to have this problem. I LOVE MY JEEP!!!! WHAT IS GOING ON HERE???!!!!
