Intermittent rough running 1995 5.2
Need your thoughts please .Engine has been running fine till we cranked it up after it sat for about 30 minutes.Running very rough with a unburned fuel smell from exhaust. Drove it down the trail half mile and it started running normal again.

Welcome to the forum.
My guess would be a stuck valve or a collapsed valve lifter.
Have the heads been removed? How do the valves look? Are the lifters all operating properly?
