On my 96 Cherokee I have the good old leaking transmission cooling hose syndrome. It is the line with the quick disconnect that goes to the top of the radiator. I picked up the new line today and plan on installing it this weekend. Since I have always heard the only dumb question is the one not asked, here goes. On the disconnect is there an o-ring that should be replaced and how does one go about separating the old quick disconnect coupling? Any other installation input other than plenty of cold beer in the garage frig would be greatly appreciated.

 

Just FYI. I found out this morning that you need a quick disconnect tool for these couplings. Off to Harbor Freight and $7.99 poorer but will probably save allot of cursing.
