I just purchased a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with 124,000 miles for my daughter. This is an exceptional vehicle with high mileage. How many miles can I expect to get out of an inline 6?

I Have 160xxx on mine i think they are good over 200xxx

 

take care of her and she will last 200k+

 

If there taken care of and not beat on well over 350K...

175,000 here and running strong.

the 4.0 in my 92 4x4 has over 200k on it and still runs strong, just leaks oil from everyplace imaginable and my wife's 1999 GC laredo 4.0 has almost 150,000 on it. the 4.0 is a reliable engine and I wouldnt think twice about driving either one of my 2 jeeps anywhere.....

223,*** right now.

 

161,000 here so far.only valve cover gasket and starter so far.

 

My 4.0 only got 78,000 on it then it blew . I did burry it in a 5 foot deep mud hole when it happened though.Blew rods through pan. My new 1 has 75,000 and Im gonna 4xs that on this 1. 4.0s are great motors. Lesson learned , run a snorkel.

 

mine is an 87 with 260,00 right now the only problem I have had is the starter soleniod went bad and I am the third owner and from what I can tell its all origonal.

 

If you take care of it and do not beat it up much it will last forever! At 124k your just braking it in! haha

 

180,xxx and still gets me where I need/want to go.

 

mine kicked the bucket at 270k. it was bad when i got it, and i rebuilt it!
