Need to replace the Infinity stereo Head unit on my 94 ZJ. The CD player loads the disc, then switches back to radio. Push the play button, spits it back out.

It sure seems like the Infinity is a double din unit. Crutchfield says it takes a single din?

I seek advice on a comparable tuner/ipod/cd/mp3 unit with moderate specs. The boom boom, gps and dvd equipment is not on the wish list.

stock head unit is more like 1.5 din... I bought 2 din Alpine and had to cut the panel and make a custom trim for it. if you dont need touch screen display with other thingies, you can buy good 1 din unit and installation kit for it (plastic trim). If not, you can buy 2 din and can of car bondo and lots of sand paper... then you can paint it or cover with leather, how i made it. If you are interested, i can post picture how my install looks.

I figured it would take a special install kit to fit a one din into the stock space.
