If you can find an early production 93 ZJ it would be a direct swap. It has to be a ZJ built before May of 1993. What year is the XJ engine and tranny from?

The engine is not a problem, just a few minor tweaks here and there, but the XJ tranny will not work in the XJ without a lot of work and modifications. You would be better off finding a boneyard tranny out of an 94 ZJ, it would save you money in the long run. Is that ZJ a 4.0 or V8 model?

I'm still waiting on that reply for that info. I kinda thought using my Xj tranny on that ZJ body would be a problem mounting

Mounting is the easy part, the electrical would be a nightmare.

You would want to use the PCM for the 94 ZJ.

You can find them at the boneyard or even get them from a parts house.
