I've got kind of an interesting idea and wanted an opinion on weather or not it can be done.
im think of attempting to wire a push button style ignition using the center skip preset radio station button on the back left hand side of the wheel.... I thought it would be nice a sleek if accomplished.
can this be done/is that the proper type of button?

I don't see why not. I looked at one a couple years back for a different vehicle but it would still require me to turn the key before I could push the button and start the car. that of course could be wired around as well but it seemed like the effort outweighed the cool factor for me.
