I posted a thread a while back about my 94 JGC Limited 5.2L having a rough idle, and the shop only making the problem worse.

So here goes,
On my second shop now. (Alarm defiantly not the problem)
1. All sensors have been changed.
2. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor changed.
3. Computer changed.
4. New intake manifold (plenum Gasket changed and changed again.)
5. Fuel pump, filter and gas regulator changed. changed fuel pump 3 times.
6. Changed Valve cover gaskets.
7. Smoked engine looking for air leak. (None found)
8. Timing chain changed and checked for proper timing. (first shop had it out 180 Deg.)
9. Fuel pressure has been checked several times and now just has the gauge hooked up at all times during tests.

I nor the shop know where to go from here. The computer shows normal no faults.

they are testing each wire in the wire harness's right now for the proper ohms, and to see if one or more are corroded.

any advise would be F*&%ING Awesome. This is my first Jeep and I'm sorry to say I'm not very impressed as of now.

 

My only thought now is to change the injectors. You've done everything else! Or the IAC. (Idle Air Control) motor.

 

Wet compression test on all cylinders?

 

Injectors seem to be working just fine we were checking the crank shaft to make sure we didn't see any rocker arms rolling low and fuel was misting out of each plug with no problems.
ETA: we changed the IAC, MAP, TPS also. All three of those were changed twice.

and yes we checked the compression everything checked out.

the Dodge house it's at now, I know and trust the service manager there he laughs and tells me I'm the only costumer that he has to talk out of buying a new motor and putting it in. we are at a loss.

ETA: It's not costing me anything at this point to be there, they work on it in their spare time, they want to find the fix as bad as I do but nobody seems to be able to corner the problem.

 

Can you smell raw fuel through the exhaust? If so you need to replace your fuel pump...again. Worked for my 93 5.2
