i just recently bought a wj 03 with 101000 miles on it. it runs smoothly but when im going 40+ i start to hear a little humming whining like a bearing. and when i was in 4wd i was turning around all the way then i heard a grinding as is one of my front shafts the cv joint was slipping or something. i crawled under it shook the t case no play theres a tiny bit of play in the front carrier bearing shaft. any help would be awesome

 

It could be a U joint or wheel bearing.

 

thats what i was thinking. i havent yet jacked up the front and check the wheel bearings but i plan on to asap
