how to take a rear end out of a comanche and put it in a zj

Default how to take a rear end out of a comanche and put it in a zj

can it be done? i had to change my front axle so i got it out of the comanche now my gears dont match.

It can be done but it is going to require welding and some fab work. It might be cheaper to re gear the front axle to match the rear.

You'll have to cut the leaf spring pads off the axle, get the brackets needed for the control arm mounts and trac-bar, and have them welded on in their correct locations. Then you'll need to change the speed sensor.
If equipped, your ABS will throw a light, as you won't have the tone rings now.

Get an 8.8 and put brackets on it.
