Have 2000 GC that is giving me fits. A few weeks ago the yellow key light would start coming up on the dash and staying lit. Then check gauges light would come on and all my gauges would not be working but then come back on and off iintermittently. If I disconnect the battery and reconnect the problems goes away for a day or so. Once, the driver window was down and would not go back up till I disconnected the battery. Jeep starts fine, but the last couple of days it will stall at times when at a stop or slowing down to stop, but starts right back up. Any clues? Thanks

Just came up with a P 1685 code, so most likely something wrong with the chip reader in the ignition switch?

if it is a permanent fix or not but had replaced the neg. battery cable and terminal a few months ago. Never liked the way the two wires sat in the new terminal. This morning I installed a marine type terminal and crimped the wires. Been driving around today and seem to be no issues. When I went to replace the terminal the old terminal just pulled off the wires, so was not clamped down very good.
