Mine is hung where the sun visor retaining clips used to live. I removed the sun visors, and put it there. I used the power source for the lighted vanity mirror that was on the PS visor. Positive, and negative right there, easy money...HTH!!

My CB is mounted on the passenger side and I picked up power under the rear drivers side seat where my Infinity amp was, I used the hot wire that powered it.

If you are not going to use the amp/stereo at the same time that the cb is on just splice into the amp feed. It is hot all the time. If both might be on you could run a wire to the fuse box on the passenger side or better yet just run a wire to the battery(prefered method) as this will cut down on any noise on your CB. I have never had a problem with wiring into the fuse box. My good CB is set up to plug into the cig. lighter so I can move it to different vehicles. Here is a couple of diagrams for the amp and wiring. On the first one you can just change the year to yours.
