How do you remove rust ?
My mom's 98 GC the paint has been peeling for a few years now, and on the top passenger side above the door the paint is completly gone now and there has been rust sitting there for at least a year now. How do i remove this ? Do i just sand it down and spray paint it ? Because its not just in that spot either i noticed its starting to happen all around the top of the car where the top was welded to the rest of the car there is small amounts of rust all over.
The bottom of the car is fine no rust at all cept on the driveshaft and muffler, however this main spot which is like 8 inchs long and 4 inchs wide has me worried that it will turn into a hole one day.. What kind of sandpaper should i get ? Or paint

personally I'd just use por-15 but before you do that take a wire brushn remove the loose rust or particles then brush this por-15 on and it stops the rust from getting worse you will need to use some primer over that after it dries as the only thing its sensitive to is suv rays. Also make sure you wear rubber or playtex gloves while using the por-15 as it takes a very long time to get it off of ya skin
