Hood switch & BCM
I am a Cherokee new user, not quite understanding about the Cherokee. I have a 1998 Grand Cherokee Limited. Can anyone tell me where lies the hood switch and BCM? And looks like what?

What do you mean "hood switch"? The under hood light is turned on by a mercury switch in the housing with the bulb. If it doesn't light check the bulb.
The BCM is under the dash, on the left side, near the steering column.

The factory alarm doesn't have a hood switch. It's activated by the underhood light coming on.
An aftermarket alarm usually uses a small push-button switch, mounted on the fender's attaching flange.
