I have a '95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8 Auto 4x4 with 118k miles. Only been about 300 miles since last oil change. Just bought it wednesday and I found out about half way home from the guys house I bought from, the oil pressure gauge was running almost at peak. Now that I've gotten a chance to drive it around some more to start figuring out the problem, I've noticed a strange pattern.
When the engine is cold, the gauge reads pretty much at 75 (80 is peak). When the engine is hot, it idles at 40 (the middle) but as I give it throttle the gauge increases just like an RPM gauge would until it reaches peak at about 2k RPMs.
I've done some searching and keep coming back empty handed... Does anyone have any insight on what this could be?
Please help me out as this is my daily driver, and I don't want to be putting more wear on the engine then necessary.
Thank you in advance!

You have no problem, but if it bothers you, replace the oil pressure sending unit. Don't worry about it until you have low oil pressure.
Haha, I wondered... Thanks guys!
I believe it was the recommended 10w-30. Personally, I would put 10w-40 in it though.
