Not exactly sure what to call the issue.I can only describe it as this:when i am driving the engine sort of stalls? i lose power but can drive without restarting.I see the rpm drop to zero,it will go;is sluggish at first then goes as if nothing happened.We noticed the PCM? has been reprogrammed.I should tell you,we just purchased it used on March 20th.It now has close to 140,000 miles on it.It had 135,000 on purchase date.We've heard possibilities on what it could be.Was wondering if anyone else has had this or similiar issue.The jeep looks EXCELLENT on the inside and out.It handles well.We just aren't sure where to start with this.As i mentioned,we have been told many possibilities of what it could be from getting the coil bar replaced,it needing a tune-up(planning on doing this next week),a bad o2 sensor,the converter needing replaced,etc.We are hoping to find someone who can give a little more back ground,if possible,to the cause and solution to this.Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.Thank you for any suggestions you can offer.We are at a cross-roads and just need some advice on what do and where to go.Thanks again for your time.Just learning the JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LORADO.Love it,just want to fix it.Sincerely,Jamie&Troy.

 

check batt. terminals and ASD (autoshutdown) relay

 

I have the same yr and and about the same miles on mine. The check engine light has come on and it is reading for a o2 sensor and mine also has the Hiccup only on first start up.
