Default Hi im Brian, and my 94' ZJ stalls.

Well, just wanted to welcome myself. My name's Brian i'm from southern california. I am pretty new to the whole Jeep scene, i bought a 1994 Grand Cherokee with the 5.2 V8 4x4. Well, everything was going fine for the first few months but i've been having some issues with it stalling now. I've checked for spark and it's getting it, i've changed the fuel filter, and well that's about it so far. The check engine light has NOT come on any of the times that it stalls. The only thing i can think of is maybe it's the fuel pump going out? (Wouldn't that kick the check engine light?) When it stalls it will either start right back up, or i have to wait about 10 mins. then it fires up. Anyone else have this issue and got it resolved? Most appriecated!

Oh yeah, also, is this a vacuum line? This just broke a couple days ago (cracked). It was stalling BEFORE this broke, if that helps.

Cool

Good dependable engine, that is a vacuum line. Did you repair it yet? With it off your idle will be high.

Haven't repaired it yet, since it broke it has been sitting. I just did the Check Engine light check and got these codes.. Could code 12 be a problem or is that just letting you know it was disconnected recently? I replaced the Crankshaft poistion sensor (code 11) awhile back but didn't have any problems until recently. How far back do these codes go? (ex. 1 hour or 1 day or 1 month)

Code -11 No ignition reference signal detected during cranking OR timing belt skipped one or more teeth; OR loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor.

Code -12 Battery or computer recently disconnected

Code -32 I'm not sure about this one because it says for 90 through 92 (1990-92) computer didn't see change in air/'fuel ratio when EGR activated - check valve, vacuum lines, and EGR electrical

Hey Brian. That hose is the purge line for the EVAP system. It removes fuel vapors from the system while the engine is running. Fix it ASAP. There is a potential of fire, besides the vacuum leak.
The code 32 could be a shorted, defective, or disconnected EGR solenoid system.
The codes are stored for 50 key start cycles with no recurrence of problem.
And Welcome to CF.
Dan
