I have a grandcherokee 1997 4.0l. Is the power window for the rear door and the drivers door the same? My front driver and passenger window is not functioning so I thought of switching my rear power window to the front. Is it possible??

 

Are there more than one window switch in the front, where there is usually one window switch in the back?

If so, you wouldn't be able to switch them because the front has more hook ups. I'm sure you can go to a local junkyard and ask them to pull out the switch for you.

 

I've checked my window and it's not the switch. Any other suggestion?

 

I would check the wiring. Sometimes water gets in the inside of my door and shorts out the electrical.

 

I just spliced in new wires for my door. Before, my passenger window didn't go down every once in a while and now it works again.

 

Yeah my electrical was havibg some shorts. So i've finally fixed my p.windows by installing new wires and new switches for the front windows. Thanx all
