Help me out please I need a answer really fast before this deal is gone.
I have the chance to buy a 98 Grand Cherokee that runs and drives great (so they say) they say it does have a bad rear passenger side wheel bearing.
I want to know if the motor and trans will drop into and work in my 95 Grand Cherokee both are 4.0L and have the 2wd, 4H, N, 4L shifter(not sure which T-case.) I want to know before I drive and hour to look at it. I'll be going tomorrow most likely.

anyone have an idea if its a direct swap. My Grands 4.0L is going fast and my trans is slipping really bad and is getting worse. If the 98 is in good shape I may swap everything from my 95 to the 98.

Swap is not a problem, I believe the only difference is the throttlebody plug in, tps,ais,map but that is not even remotely difficult to overcome.

thanks the motors use the same intake manifolds right? If the do I could ether swap the complet intake. I'm hopeing the 98 is in better shape than my 95 and if it is I'm just going to put my lift, tires and radio on the 98. Then again I may sell it for a profit and fix my jeep up.
