Default Help me out, Lookin at 1995 jeep grand???'s

HI,

I'm looking to buy a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ovis limited 5.2 V8. Fuel pump seems to be bad, question is how hard is it to replace?
And how much will it cost?

Also, when u put it into 4 wheel lo it does not go in, any thoughts?
It has 4 high all time and 4 low on the shift. if you pull it into 4 lo the jeep will not do anything when you give it gas....

How are these Jeeps overall ?
Jeep has 190,000 miles, new tires, inside looks good, paint pretty good, and motor runs good no knocks...
$ 1100.00

I just want a 4x4 jeep! Help me if u can...

Thanks alot!

sounds like your not getting the shifter pulled all the way or there is something wrong with the linkage. Doubt it can be anything real bad if it drives in high range.
As far as the fuel pump there in the tank. those in tank pumps are stupid in price, I have changed them before in other vehicles and not to bad a job if you have a bit of knowledge. Nice if you can drive it till its very low on fuel. Also when lowering it down you want to control it as the hoses need to be unhooked and if you break the end it gets more expensive and tricker to fix. Ask me how I know.

I did go buy the 1995 jeep grand today...

Needs a little work, looks pretty good, but I love the way it sounds with the flow master muffler.

I will have to put a fuel pump on it, pretty sure thats what it is...

I'm glad you guys have a board to talk about jeeeeeeeps grand......
