you guys may be comparing new parts to rebuilt parts. even here I get rebuilt calipers for about 30 bucks. Now brand new I bet it would be alot. to rebuild them they put about 2 bucks worth of seals in, and clean em up nice. thats why often you will see the core charge more then the calipers themselves.

legal certainly, probably why the lifetime warranty. the big expense to those types of parts is machining and manufacturing. its just a recyling program that works well.
i am new to this site but when i was bringing my jeep home the right wheel locked up on me. turns out the caliper was loose and the piston became stuck, try compressing the caliper back in with a c- clamp....worked for me,hope it does for you

I did that when I replaced my brakes. But it locked up on me again. Im not sure. Im going to try replaceing the caliper and see.
