HELP! Brakes!
Ok I took the jeep wheelin yesterday. Ran great, done better than any other vehicle out there. And I never had to use 4 low. Not once. I love this jeep. But I went to drive it to work this morning and my passenger side wheel locked up. I can only go in reverse. I looks like the brake pad is stuck on the rotors. What could be my problem?

No noise that I can hear. My exhaust might prevent me from hearing it though. I can go in reverse. But if I drive forward the front passenger tire dont want to move. Nothing looks broke from what I can see. But it looks like the brake is locked up on it. Its weird cuz I can go in reverse but not forward. The tire wont move going forward.

I had a prob like this on my old YJ, the pads "tore" of the metal and lodged in there, with were it was stuck I could go in reverse just not forward. I's start by pulling the tire and pop the rotor off and check those pads. My guess would be on that..

That sounds reasonable. I am taking tmrw off work so I can work on her. I gotta get her fixed. I dont have internet at home so it will be hard to communicate with yall. So im trying to get every possibility now so I will be checking for it all tmrw. But that makes alot of sense. I just got off the phone with a friend and he said his did the same thing.

It's a great feeling when the worst possible breakdown ends up being a simple repair. Glad to hear it was a cheap, easy fix.

I had this issue once on my wrangler. Taught me a lesson about mud. It's gets in EVERYTHING and is bound to wear/seize it. I highly recommend popping off the wheels and hosing out the drums/discs after each mud encounter. You'll be thankful you did in the long run.
I was helping my buddy fix his yj's rear brake issue a couple years ago. He takes that rig muddin with me all the time. When we took off the wheels and drums, they were PACKED FULL of mud. You could not see any of the brake hardware, only the surface of the shoes. No wonder his brakes were not working.
You should see what we saw when opening up his front 30. Imagine stuffing a pan full of brownies in the diff. What used to be fluid was no longer.
Clean em out everytime
