My 1997 jeep grand isn't staying in two wheel drive or 4hi. The shift linkage was bent from what I was told but it doesn't look bent I need some help guys

It's probably just out of adjustment. I think on the 97 there is a sliding link adjuster on the shift rod. Unlock it and make sure it moves freely, put the transfer case in neutral and move the shifter to neutral, then lock down the adjusting bolt. That should center everything.
If the transfer case isn't perfectly in the detents, it will pop out of gear. My 97 ZJ did it a couple of times.
