Default heater issues

recently bought a 1994 gc laredo..luke warm air out of the heater & defrost..hot water in & out hoses..core is not blocked..flap doors seem to be functioning correctly..my 1993 Cherokee had a heater valve that was vacuum controlled in the engine bay..does this model have the same thing & if so how far is it buried in the heater/ac box?
any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to CF Bill. Sounds like you have blend doors issues, a somewhat common problem with the ZJ. Read this for an explanation, and possible fix:>http://www.heatertreater.net/jeep-grand-cherokee-92-97
