I was crawling around under my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and found a hose just hanging. I traced it back to where the front axle intersects with the drive shaft. The problem is that I have no clue where to even look to see where the other end should go. Nothing is leaking and I don't seem to have any issues (other than what was covered in my other thread regarding the belt sliding off) and my wife said that she noticed the hose hanging down for awhile. Any ideas where I should look to get this hose back in the right place?

 

It's the axle vent hose, the loose end clips to the side of the air cleaner assembly.

It's there to vent the axle, but keep water out when you go "wading".
