How old is the battery?

Mine was doing this but because the battery was old and I was only using the car for short journeys. Even after charging it over night, it would still end up flat after a couple of days.

Get your alternator checked as well as your batteries. most auto parts stores do it for free. also, with the vehicle off, use a volt meter to see if its drawing current. Also check to see if your dome light turn off when you leave your car. =]

The alternator is working very well, when the car is on the bettery is running at 14v.

how ever, i have had the battery un plugd for 2 days now and it seems to work well aswell.

so somthing is draining the battery when the car is turnd of.

you can buy something called a "fuse buddy" not sure where to get them at stores. It plugs in place of the fuse and reads amps drawn. It is GREAT for finding what circuit a drain is in.

The fact that you draw sparks when removing the battery cables is an indication of a battery drain somewhere. When you turn the vehicle off you will have a small drain for the radio memory, info center, etc. This is handled by the off-draw fuse. You will need to use a meter to check for amp drain and remove fuses one at a time while looking for a change in the draw.

Default battery draw

get a test light 12v any auto parts store take off neg bat cable take clamp from test light attach to neg post take other end and attach to neg cable end if you have a draw test light will light remove and replace one fuse at a time till you find the one that make the test light go out if you have a under hood light dicsinnect it while testing shut doors to keep interior light off clock in truck or radio will cause a very dim light to be on in test light this will be normal also make sure its not the glove box light not on when its shut
