Grand Cherokee 94' central lock problem
My central lock unlocks only the doors. If I try to lock the doors using the switches on the doors, nothing happens. The remote is missing.
Should the central lock also work if I unlock the car using the key? Because nothing happens to the other doors if I unlock/lock the driver door.
...
OK. I talked to the pre-owner an he said that his mechanic disabled the auto-lock while driving. He said he removed a fuse.
I checked all fuses on the passenger site near the door and under the hood on the left site, but there is no fuse missing. What else could the mechanic have changed?

Welcome to CF. I think he was mistaken. I don't believe the Auto-lock feature was available on the '94 model. There must be something wrong with the switch in the door, or probably the wiring in the harness between the body and door at the A-pillar. The key only unlocks the door that it's being used on.

The switch should be OK, because the switch on the passenger site also doesn't work. If I don't have the remote, I can't use the central lock? It is very annoying to lock 5 door independently :/
The Seller said that he disabled the auto lock, so I think it is there. Maybe the mechanic did something else than remove the fuse. How could I find the problem?

I checked all the realys in the glove box, but there is none missing. I also changed the black ones, but the lock-relay never clicks.
Today I visited the pre-owner and he gave me the "fuse" his mechanic removed. What is this, and where do I have to put it?

I do believe that is the door unlock relay,, located behind the glove box. You will have to remove the glove box to access the relay center.. should be an empty spot to reinstall the relay you have in your hand..

I finally found this device on a wiring diagram. It is located at the convinience center. Is the convinience center behind the glove box? How could I remove the glove box?

OK, I finally found the position of this device. It is located on the driver side left of the steering weel next to the hood release. After disassembling the whole dash and removing the glove box I finally found this position!
But there is another problem. After putting it in the central lock worked fine and there are some nice alarm if you forget the key, or don't use the seat belt. Unfortunately the pulsing seat belt reminder turns into a constant tone after using the seatbelt! What's wrong?
And as Griffin13 said, there is no auto lock feature in the Jeep.
