Grand Cherokee 4.0, hard to start when hot

Default Grand Cherokee 4.0, hard to start when hot
Hello

My dads grand cherokee start easy when cold, but took long when hot..why?

Very long I must say, maybe 5 to 8 seconds on the starter...

Fuel pressure?
O2 sender?


any idea?

Could be quite a few things. Crank sensor did it for me. check fuel pressure first though.

Do you smell gasoline when you try to start warm engine? i suspect crack position sensor is getting broken.

Could also be a cam sensor too, but the fuel pressure should be checked while cranking.
