Gas Gauge Question
I reported my '02 GC Overland getting rear-ended a few weeks ago. Not much damage - about $1000 - new bumper and a dent in the tailgate. What I have noticed is that the gas gauge indicator no longer goes all the way to the full line on most fill-ups. Prior to the accident it actually went past the full line. If I leave it parked for a few hours after a fill-up the gauge will eventually show full. Can a rear-end collision damage the fuel gauge (sensor)?

not sure on answer to that, but on a side note my 04 does the exact same thing and no accidents with it. Not saying it could not happen, but maybe since being hit your more alert to stuff that may be going wrong.
the sensors are in the tank so if it got a big jolt, but I would think gas sloshing around in there can get pretty violent on it as well
