99GC 06Wrangler distributor

seems the electronic distributors have different plug ins between the 99 GC and the 06 Wrangler 4.0's. I will have to pull the one from the wrangler motor and use the GC distributor.
Whats an easy way to to swap it yet not throw off the factory timing?

Since no one had a clue, I pulled the old one first.
Looks like they are not indexed and can actually point any direction.
I put the original in the new motor and hopefully since its all electronic it will work.
Will let ya'll know tomorrow !

Since neither one of those motors have a "distributor",what are you referring to? sounds like maybe the oil pump drive assembly/camshaft sensor? If so,there are steps that need to be taken when doing that in order to keep things aligned properly or you will have to reset the CPS with a scan tool.

runs, but snorts, bucks and wheezes with a little pop out of the exhaust.
what steps needs to be taken ?
