Jeep not running battery should be around 11.5-12.5.,,Jeep running and charging, it should test around 13.0v-13.5v
Ive seen it show 14v when jeep is running a few times.
But that was cause it was pushing power into almost a dead battery.

Engine: 4.0, new lifters valve job with new springs and exhaust valves, preload set with shims
ANY battery the test is the same. A fully charged battery sits overnight holding 12.6. Each tenth of a volt less than that the % charge drops dramatically. A 12.0 volt reading indicates about a 50% charge.
Any battery will charge as long as the voltage reaching it is more than the voltage of the battery ie a 12.6 vdc battery will be charging if you read 12.9 while charging. It will charge faster the higher the voltage.
