Front Drive Shaft

Front Drive Shaft
Here is a rookie jeep question!! If I'm in 2wd should I be able to spin the front drive shaft by hand? I can not do so and that is something I'm not use to. It's probably a jeep thing that I don't understand. 😂

not unless you jack the front wheels off the ground first.
the drive shaft still has to turn the pinion, which turns the ring gear, which turns the axle shafts and turns the wheels. and vise versa.

Yea. The hubs are all the time locked on your front axle so the pumpkin is always working and spinning the DS. When you engage the TC, it locks the front and rear and blah blah blah all that good stuff
