the unit has a stripped wiire from the unit to door lock. i had a unit in my car that when i cut the alarm horn it told the unit that the car was stolen or some crap and it shut my car down and wouldnt turn over untill i ripped it out. so check all wires and see if stripped or pulled out.

Cool

The only REAL way to determine what is wrong with your anti-theft system is with the use of a scanner. The body control module (BCM) monitors and controls all the functions in your jeep...from the blower switch to rear window defog and alarm, lights, you name it. With the scanner you can identify looses of communication between the individual monitors/modules and located the problem.
Early CCD systems (chrysler collision detection) could actually turn off functions (with the scanner) like auto door locks, interior light timer and alarm systems...that is why you need to take it to a shop or a friend with a good scanner. Snap-on modis is real good with jeeps, the OTC and Mac are not. Good luck....Russ
