I have a 97 Grand 2wd 6cyl and recently the instrument panel will go dead while driving all the guages go down and when it comes back on all the lights below the guages lite up. It does this all while driving sporatically..off and on...Any suggestions would be helpful ...Thanks

 

can you check fuse for dash? it is number 7 i guess. it powers everything there. when it is blown whole dash and all lights go off. may be there is a contact problem on it. if it is fine, you need to check dimmer wire which is in orange color. to check it, you need to find out a way of removing cluster bezel trim by removing screws. you will remove head light switch too. i howe this can give you an idea.
