engine wont start/

Default engine wont start/

i have a jeep grand cherokee 97 model my problem is it wont start, and also the gages dosnt work at all(battery,oil etc.).i tried to change ecu but can not fine 416AC is 415 compatible because 415 is only available in the scrapyard.which ecu number i can install?

Sounds like your bus circuit crashes with the key on you cab unplug the sensors with a 5 volt reference like the crank or cam one at a time and with the sensor unplugged see if your gauges come back to life

I say there is nothing wrong with the ECU, they don't fail very often. A bad crank sensor can cause the gauges not to function. Does the engine turn over, or do you have nothing happening when turning the key to start?

Cranking and starting are two different things. If the engine runs on its own for a few seconds and then shuts down, then you are most likely in theft mode. If the engine will only crank over without actually starting, then you have a possible crank or cam sensor problem, or even a fuel problem.
