Engine Swap - Distributor system to coil????

Does anyone know if it is possible to fit a 4 ltr petrol engine with distributor ignition system into a newer vehicle that has a coil pack ignition system??? Which parts may need to be swapped to fit? Thanks!!

Yes it is possible, the factory did just that. You just pull the distributor out and install the cam sensor and coil packs onto the doner engine.

Do you want to swap the distributor in or older engine in?

If you want to swap the distributor in then yes it is possible, you need to swap the computer and the engine wiring harness from a 98 or 99. Then the parts that you would need are distributor, wires, and ?
