My 5.9 limited grand cherokee needs to have at least the headgaskets replaced and I have been looking around for some performance gaskets or parts and have not had much luck looking. I had a dodge dakota r/t and there was a bunch of companys making parts for them but that was back in 2000 so I'm not sure whats still available. I'm also going back and forth on replacing the intake manifold because the plenium gaskets are blown but I have heard of people modifiying theres and preferring that over the m1 intake. If anyone has any info on anything I will greatly appreciate it. I have also read about people removing the drip tray from the hood louvers to help let the heat out and my question is if you remove the tray there is nothing left to hold the vents onto the hood. What do you do to attach the vent to the hood again? I could cut the plastic drip tray to reuse the factory attachment points but with them being as rare as they are I don't want to cut them unless I have to. Not sure if anyone here has done this mod or not.
