Ok, so I've had my Jeep since about 96k miles. Never done an engine flush on it. I've got an exgirlfriend who said I could use diesel to do an engine flush. Just pour it in the oil, let it run for a bit, then drain the oil.

Is this a good idea or is there a chemical that is best for doing an engine flush?

 

When I do, I put 1/3 can of seafoam in the crank about 100 miles before an oil change. Last time I did, the oil looked new when i poured it in, when I changed it came out blacker than the blackest black times infinity.

 

Should I do this after a fresh oil change then run it a bit and change the oil again? And where do I get seafoam?

 

Any parts store will have it. I'd do it soon before a change, running seafoam in oil for 3000 miles could probably destroy some seals
