Possible O-ring leak?
A few months back I did a transmission flush on my Jeep. I believe it runs the 545RFE 4WD trans since I have a solid 4x4, no rear wheel drive. Well before and after this trans flush, I started noticing a slight slipping in the OD gear as I'm running normal cruising speed along 70 in Kansas. So I figured it might be time to change the fluid and filters.
Well about 2 days after I get back home, I changed out the fluid and filters and I still have the same problem occuring. It doesn't happen all time just some of the time on 25 going to Denver. When I pulled out the large flat filter, the o-ring was on the filter, but I saw a vid on youtube talking about another o-ring.
Is it possible that I missed an o-ring changing out the flat filter that would cause the OD gear to slip out and shift back into place numberous times or is this something that requires a band adjustment?
