Engine cuttong off...
1995 ZJ: been bringing this Jeep back to life... So far I have replaced all the manifold sensors (three of them), new coil and relocated it off the engine block, distributor, rotor, cap, plugs, plug wires, crankshaft sensor, cam sensor, pulled and cleaned the intake manifold, O2 Sensor, new muffler and cat, new battery, new pcv (both),..... non engine stuff: all new control arms front and rear, new tires/wheels, shocks, brakes, bushings, ..
Problem: jeep stalls out (engine just stops) and cant figure this one out.... Now it's a no start situation. Pretty sure it's electrical due to the sudden cut off of the engine when it happens. I dont think it's a fuel problem. After most of the repairs it was running great for several months and now issues again. Not much left to check/replace except the wire harnesses and the computer... Any suggestions would be great.
Question on this NSS (No Start Safety Switch)... Does this create a no crank situation?
Thanks,
Andy

So I cleaned up a bunch of grounds today... she is running better but have discovered that the cutting/stalling issue is more prominent when I am shifting gears...(automatic)... I have heard of a Neutral Safety Switch (NSS)... Could this be the issue? When sitting in park she seems to be running great.
Today I replaced all the spark plug wires, redid the ground wires by the battery on the sidewall (new connectors), and a new relay (Automatic Shutdown). Running a lot better but still having this issue when in reverse, neutral, or drive.
Thanks for any input.

replaced the NSS today...No difference. I also noticed that if I unplug the coil lead to the distributor and then reconnect, it will start. Also, getting a strong smell of gas when it wont start. Maybe the coil is failing? even though recently replaced (it is just an aftermarket coil.. not Mopar quality or the like.)
