I have a 2005 Grand Cherokee Ltd, 4.7L. I have had some unusual things happen over the last couple years. Twice, my keys have gone bad and I had to have the car towed in and new keys programmed. The last time, I was actually driving at the time, and while waiting for a red light, the car died and the "damaged key" message came on.

Occasionally as of late, there are times when I start the car that it starts ok, but the horn beeps once, the bright lights come on, the fog lights come on, the regular light switch doesn't work, the turn signals and windshield wipers don't work, and I get a "programming active" message. If I turn it off and restart it several times, it goes away.

Anyone ever heard of this problem?
