electic problem urgent!!!

Default electic problem urgent!!!

so recently i put a radio in my zj and today io shut it off then went to go start it back up and i lost all power and a relay or something started clicking on the passenger side fuse panel..what caould cause thiss. Me and my dad were thinking the ground could be bad on the harness for the stero causing the car to i guesss ground itself out. but its intermintent so im not sure any help is appreciated.

oh and when it was runnong io noticed that the light were flickering a little when drving headlights and the interior lights too., thanks melton ill let you know if that works.just to ask whats your other idea..i also have an amp and sub installed...im taking that out tommorw.

melton the fuse forthe headunit was ok but i put a 15 amp in instead of a 10...i tried to jump it before and i only got a clicking from the starter and as soon as i took off the jumper cables i had no power possible bad battery =or maybe a draw off of something

The first thing I would do is start by checking the radio wiring and make sure that you installed it correctly and all the wires have a good connection. Check the connections on the battery make sure their tight, if all of that is good I would assume that the battery is bad but test it before you get a new one.

Sounds like you have a dead battery. Have it checked out and fully charged if it's still in good shape. Otherwise get a new one. JMO

yeaa it was an stupid overlooked situation i went to take the battery out and i touched the negative and all the lights went on so i cleaned the terminal and it started right up.The grond coming off of the battery was also a little loose..im glad that s all it was.

yea that too...he claimed he knew it was a bad connection the whole time and he was seeing how long it took me to figure it out
