Dome lights stoped working on my 01 grand Cherokee, ended up here looking for info on fuse #. No help, the pics I saw were nothing like mine. I did stumble upon something while fiddling with the lights. I have a problem with turning on the dome lights on just the spot iam in at the moment. U found if there not all in the same on or off position they dont work. Don't know if mine is a freek but after clicking them all a few different times must have found the right combo! They work fine now. Just thought I would share this.

It sounds like the control switch might be a bit wonky (they do occasionally go bad). You might want to look into replacing the switch.
