All dash lights, 4WD lights and gear select lights are out, interior lights work, dome lights work, tail lights work as well. I just bought this 1996 cherokee country. I replaced a fuse to get the power mirrors, locks, radio, and interior and dome lights working, before I pulled the jeep into the shop my cluster lights were all working.

I also had to plug in the radio and the rearspeakers that are mounted on the ceiling. Once i was done with all of that and pulled the jeep out of the shop my headlights work and so do my tail-lights. I did notice that the license plate lights were not working... Could this be the culprit? Could i have accidently grounded something when putting the radio deck back into the cavity? or screwing the rear speakers into their homes?

All of my fuses in the cab are good.. this just baffles me! The gauges all work too just not the lights.

Have same issue on my 96 sport. I have not done any work on my fuse/electricals just cranked it after dark and VIOLA no dash lights. Fuses all good in my fuse block. Ahhh the joys of owning an XJ!!!
