i got a project and i'm gonna need help seeing as how i want it all to go smooth and i am not that auto smooth.i want to take a 97 zj grnd cherokee laredo IL 6 and really get some power/torque out of it without any durability/reliablitly issues. i've been looking at stroker kits and i'm liking what i see. i want to do a 4.0-4.6 stroke with a .030 over bore.got around $2000 - $2500 to play with in the motor.I want to know what problems i'll be facing with (1.) if ECM stock runs it fine. (2.) any specific do or dont's (3.) suggestions on buying biggest crank w/stroker kits.i have definetly seen and heard no replacment for displacment. but i dont wanna OVER DO anything.It will be for everyday travel but only a few miles.However i do want her to be ready to bugout at anytime like me and have no issues snaping proverbial necks and cashing said checks. greatly look foward to this project and input.

 

p.s. i have n.c emissions test i have to pass and a motor shop ready and waiting to work on anything i ask'em but they're not sure about many of the after-the-fact stuff so im trying to get all the info and input i can on how this affects my ecm, injectors, what in the world a tuner can do where to put it(i know where not to put it)how to program it in my options as far as when i do put larger injectors and a boost- a- pump all i need to do to do it right!
