Default Does the 2011 Quadra-Drive II lock the differentials in Lo range?

Hi all,

Just registered. I would much appreciate some help on the following questions.

1) Does the 2011 Quadra-Drive II lock the differentials in Lo range?
2) Where can I find a technical explanation of this drive train, pictures and all?

Search produced no answers.

Thanks in advance.

vonk

No low range only locks the transfer case for a 50/50 split. You would need to replace the differentials if you want lockers.

Thanks for responding. I’ve since come across this explanation of the Quadra-Drive II system. It says: “This system uses the Quadra-Trac II® transfer case and Electronic Limited Slip Differentials …..”. In 4Hi Range operation, the narration further states: “If needed all available engine torque can be transferred to a single wheel….. In 4Lo Range both axles are locked”. Apparently, the LSDs slip limitation is variable up to 100%.
