Default Do I need to!

I have a 04 WJ 4.0 special edition 126k miles. Im getting ready to replace my ball joints (upper and lower) Im also doing my wheel hub bearings. Should I go ahead and replace my front axles at the same time or is that a part thats not problematic.

I'm assuming these are CV axles? As long as the boots are not cracked and leaking grease or making noise, I think you can wait until they are a problem. Once one becomes a problem, then replace both. JMHO.

what dave said, no need to fix them until they break, and of course when one goes do both. Also why your at it down there i would check your tie rod ends and controll arm bushings. if theres any sign of wear i would replace them as well.

If you end up needing a control arm bushing i would go ahead and do them all, and while you're at it i would upgrade to poly bushings.
