dash light symbol meanings

I have a 1996 jeep cherokee sport 4.0 5 speed and I need to know what the triangle house looking symbol on the cluster of lights on the dash and thesymbol the light G E N is?

I would think it means GENerator.

Mines been coming on also. Along with a sudden start of not starting without being jumped and the gas pedal being pumped. Once I let off the gas after it starts it shuts off.
